Drink Barista/Cashier

A Bambu Drink Barista is the customer-facing key in creating a great Bambu Customer Experience by providing prompt & friendly service, taking accurate orders, preparing quality coffee, teas and dessert drinks, and maintaining a clean and comfortable store environment.

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Act with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values and mission of Bambu. Maintain a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep the Shoppe operating to standard and to set a positive example for the entire shift team.
  • Anticipates customer and Shoppe needs by constantly evaluating environment and customers for cues. Communicates timely information to manager so that the team can respond as necessary.
  • Delivers exceptional customer service to all customers by listening and responding to customer needs and requests.
  • Follow the Shoppe’s operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety and security, to ensure the safety of all Bambu customers and employees.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and Shoppe that promotes a healthy and welcoming environment.
  • Provides quality coffees, teas, dessert drinks and other beverages, consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards. Follow all product and Shoppe health, safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Must maintain regular and punctual attendance.

Certified Barista Chef

A Bambu Certified Barista is the backbone of the Shoppe ensuring that the ingredients in each Bambu drink is fresh and precisely prepared. It is the Barista Chef’s responsibility to protect the Bambu proprietary recipes, manage the over 100 ingredients used in the Bambu beverage product line, and cook and prepare about 20 items daily. You can only achieve the status of a Certified Bambu Barista Chef by successfully completing a five day training program at Bambu’s California Training Center. you are must protect and adhere to Bambu’s proprietary recipes.

Other responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Act with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values and mission of Bambu.
  • Maintain a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep the kitchen operating to standard and to set a positive example for the entire shift team.
  • Monitor throughout your shift the daily ingredient usage and requirements. Ensure that the ingredients are prepared timely while minimizing any unnecessary waste.
  • Anticipates Shoppe needs by constantly evaluating environment and team members for cues.
  • Timely communicate to the cashiers’ timely any information that affects any delays in preparation or shortages of ingredients so that they can respond to customers as necessary.
  • Delivers exceptional customer service to all customers by listening and responding to both the customer’s and your teams needs and requests.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen that promotes a healthy and welcoming environment.
  • Prepare quality and consistent ingredients following including following all product & regulatory health, safety, storage and sanitation guidelines.
  • Create quality coffees, teas, dessert drinks and other beverages, consistently by adhering to all Bambu published recipe and presentation standards.
  • Must maintain regular and punctual attendance.
